C&A with Solvency II has developed in the recent years a significant consulting experience in the Insurance Risk Management and Actuarial Function.

"Solvency II" defines the rules for determining the capital requirement for an Life and Non-Life Insurance Company. The growth of risk management expertise is necessary to allow top management in order to have all information for a better strategic decision. The C&A’s Risk Management team , thanks to numerous tasks in this field, carries out many activities in this area, including:

   Solvency Capital Requirement and EIOPA stress tests: assessment of the risks that affect the Insurance Company's financial situation (through standard formula or development of internal models). Support for stress tests (Pillar I- Risk Quantification);
   Reallocation of capital among business units and future risks’ assessment in terms of capital requirements: definition of tools to direct the Insurance Company's governance (Pillar II - Risk Governance);
   Reporting: design and IT implementation for reporting (Pillar III - Risk Transparency).

The Solvency II Directive also provides the setting of Actuarial Function. Thanks to the experience and to team of actuaries, C&A has created a guide-lines that allows to fulfill all the requirements of Solvency II, in order to answer to all the needs of the Insurance Company.

C&A works in the evaluation of the Employee Benefits and possible international implications (IAS19 / TFR), specific indemnities (IAS37), leases (IAS17), stock options plans (IFRS2), evaluation of financial instruments (IAS 39).

C&A is specialized in the calculation according to the international accounting standards, IAS19, which in particular has found a constant application in the evaluation of the termination indemnity (TFR), but has spread to other funds, as specific indemnities (IAS37). About this matter C&A has also already faced the problems regarding the destination of TFR to pension funds.

C&A has also gained considerable experience in the evaluation of stock option plans based on the principle IFRS 2, evaluation of financial transactions taking into account the provisions of the international accounting standard IAS 39 and the related leasing operations evaluations related to international accounting standard IAS17.

To these aspects can be added other considerations like reporting and adoption by Italian law of new international accounting standards - International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), formerly known as IAS (International Accounting Standard), which is proceeding in two phases .

C&A, based on the experiences matured in national and international field, supports Life and Non-Life Insurance Companies, in all the innovative aspects related to the implementation of the new international accounting principles, through adequate and specific paperwork that allows to evaluate the technical provisions according to fair value (phase II).
